The Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar held a Celebration of the 85th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej

          On 29 November 2012, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar held a celebration of the 85th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at Salon des Princes, Terrou-Bi Hotel. Her Excellency Mrs. Busaya Mathelin, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Senegal led a gathering of more than 30 Thai nationals in Senegal and their families to pay tribute to and express best wishes for His Majesty the King.

          Following the Thai ceremony, the Reception was held to celebrate this auspicous occasion. His Excellency Mr. Omar Gueye, Minister of Water and Sanitation represented the Government of Senegal to attend the Reception as Guest of Honour. The Reception was attended by approximately 400 guests including members of the diplomatic corps and international organisations in Senegal, representatives of the Senegalese government and private sectors as well as those who have participated in various training sponsored by the Royal Thai Government. An exhibition to pay tribute to His Majesty the King was also held and the royal jazz composition played throughout the Reception which recieved great attention from the guests.
