On 24 August 2026, Her Excellency Ms. Nipa Nirannoot, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Senegal, hosted a dinner in honor of Mr. Samba KA, Director-General of the National Aquaculture Agency (ANA) of Senegal, and directors of ANA on the occasion of the visit of 10 members of ANA including the Director-General, directors, and technical staff, to Thailand to participate in a workshop on breeding, nursery, and farming of tilapia and catfish under A fish breeding improvement project for tilapia and catfish in Senegal, from 31 August 31 - 9September 9 2026 for the executive level and from 31 August 31 – 16 September 2026 for the technical staff level.

On this occasion, the Ambassador-Designate provided the project’s information regarding the objectives, schedule, and details of the training course, which is organized by the Department of International Cooperation (TICA) and Kasetsart University where is well known for the extensive knowledge and expertise in fisheries. The Ambassador-Designate is confident that ANA will gain enhanced knowledge, expertise, and experience from the training program in order to transfer it to its internal personnel. The Ambassador-Designate also reiterated the commitment to promoting cooperation between Thailand and Senegal, particularly in food security, where ANA is a key organization in Senegal's efforts to achieve its goals. Meanwhile, the ANA Director-General expressed the appreciation to the Thai side for organizing the training course, which covers both management and operational levels and will be invaluable in strengthening the organization's sustainable capabilities. Lastly, both sides share the same determination for further cooperation in other areas in the future.
