On 14 September 2026, H.E. Ms. Nipa NIRANNOOT, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Senegal, participated in discussions with H.E. Mr. El Hadj Abdouramane DIOUF, Minister of Energy and Petroleum of Senegal; Mr. Thiti Thongyen, Executive Vice President, International Production Asset Group, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP); and Mr. Jestsadar Ngamchitrungruang, VIce president, Natural Gas Supply, PTT Public Company Limited, on the occasion of Gastech Bangkok 2026, held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).

The discussions focused on developments in the energy sector and ways to further promote energy cooperation between Thailand and Senegal. Such cooperation would contribute to Senegal’s efforts to strengthen its position as an energy leader in West Africa, while creating opportunities for Thailand to expand its energy exploration and production activities. Both sides also underscored the importance of promoting energy security and the stability of global energy supply chains.
