On 9 December 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar and the Thai Trade Office in Abuja jointly organized the “Thai – Senegalese Online Business Matching” in the sector of rice. Ambassador Nipon Petchpornprapas, Mr. Mbaye Chimere NDIAYE, Secretary General of Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Dakar, and Director Supat Sranoy of the Thai Trade Center Abuja delivered opening remarks at the event, followed by business talks between Thai and Senegalese rice traders. The activity is aimed expanding trade between Thailand and Senegal, which in 2020 stood at 117 million USD.
