On 21 August 2020, Mr. Nipon Petchpornprapas, Ambassador of Thailand to Senegal paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Amadou Hott, Minister of Economy, Planning and International Cooperation of Senegal to present financial contribution from the Royal Thai Government to the “FORCE COVID-19 Fund” to support efforts by the Government of the Republic of Senegal in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, especially to assist Senegalese people who have been affected by this pandemic. In addition, it is a symbol of friendship and strong relations between the two countries as this year marks the 40^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Senegal. On this occasion, the two sides discussed economic relations between Thailand and Senegal and explored ways and means to strengthen trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
