Familiarization Trip for African businesses and media to visit Thailand, during 2 - 9 March 2024 (1)

The Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar had organized a Familiarization Trip for African businesses and media to visit Thailand during 2 - 9 March 2024. Twenty-one participants, including Senegalese and Gambian businesspeople and news reporter from 2ATV, a Senegalese local news channel, joined the trip. The participants met with Thailand’s government agencies and private sectors, as well as participated in the hotel, restaurant and catering industry exhibition “THAIFEX - HOREC ASIA 2024”. The objective of this project is to promote economic cooperation between Thailand and West Africa, particularly, Senegal and The Gambia. These two countries are full of economic potential and enthusiastic companies interested in doing business with Thailand. Furthermore, the project aims to expand business opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs in opening up the West African market, as well as establishing networks and business partnerships, which will stimulate the increase in trade and investment between Thailand and West Africa, fostering the mutual economic benefits between both sides.
