On August 21, 2026, Her Excellency Ms. Nipa Nirannoot, Ambassador of Thailand to Senegal, led embassy officials, spouse, and staff in volunteer activities for public service and charity at Fann National University Hospital Center in Dakar in commemoration of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on August 12, 2026. The Royal Thai Embassy handed over one electrocardiogram (ECG) machine and one nasofibroscope to the hospital for improving patient diagnosis in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. The Ambassador also led the participants in reciting a motto graciously bestowed by His Majesty the King for the volunteers under the royal auspices.

On this occasion, Her Excellency Ms. Nipa Nirannoot, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to Senegal, along with embassy officials, spouse, and staff met with the hospital management team, led by Ms. Khadidiatou SARR KEBE, Director of Fann Hospital, and Mr. Ciré NDIAYE, an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist, to discuss strengthening medical and public health cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and Fann Hospital through various activities, particularly the mobile medical service project providing general ENT care. This project has received continuous support from the Royal Thai Embassy for over 21 years and has provided free medical treatment more than 1,000 patients and over 10,000 medical consultations throughout the project’s duration. In 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy collaborated with Fann Hospital to conduct the humanitarian activities in 10 cities across Senegal.

The Ambassador reiterated the commitment to continue supporting this project in 2027 and informed the visit of Senegalese doctors and hospital management team to Thailand in early September 2026 including two representatives from Fann Hospital who will participate for training and a study visit of renowned Thai hospitals and medical facilities.

The Director and medical team from Fann Hospital expressed their gratitude to the Rotyal Thai Embassy for its long-standing and continuous support and their readiness to expand cooperation in various areas of medicine and public health. Following the completion of the activity, the Embassy delegation toured the medical services and offered encouragement to patients receiving general ENT treatment.
