APPLYING FOR VISA TO THAILAND
Disclaimer Notice
1. Each application is considered upon individual merit and may be rejected without any reasons provided.
2. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary.
3. The Embassy assumes the right to deny or grant any type of visa to the applicant as deemed appropriate.
4. It is the Embassy’s sole discretion to change, amend, cancel or withdraw any or all of the terms and conditions mentioned herein at any time without any prior notice.
***PLEASE READ***
- Visa requirements are non-negotiable. All required documents must be submitted.
- APPLICATION WITH INCOMPLETE DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
- Visa processing time is at least 5 working days (except Saturday, Sunday and public holidays).
- Visa application is 09.00 to 12.00 hrs. Passport Collection is 14.30 to 15.00 hrs. Monday-Friday
except public holidays.
- Visa fee will only be accepted in CFA and must be paid in exact change. (No change will be given).
- ALL VISA FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE, even if your visa application is rejected or withdrawn.

GENERAL DOCUMENTS FOR VISA APPLICATION 1. Completed visa application form (3 COPIES) (The Embassy does not provide any form filling services. If anyone should make such claim for an exchange of fee or gratuity, please inform the Embassy immediately at +221 33 869 32 90.) 2. A valid passport (must have at least 6 months validity and at least 3 empty pages) 3. A photocopy of personal information page(s) of the passport (3 COPIES) 4. 3 (Three) passport size photos (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) white background, without wearing glasses or headgear, taken within 6 months (a photocopy or poor quality photos will not be accepted) 5. A photocopy of CONFIRMED RETURN TICKET (“confirmed reservation” will not be accepted.) 6. A photocopy of CONFIRMED BOOKING OF ACCOMMODATION (“confirmed reservation” will not be accepted.) 7. A photocopy of Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate issued by reputable local hospitals and clinics 8. For Senegalese Nationals : - A photocopy of Senegalese National Identification Card 9. For Residents of Senegal, Residents and/or Nationals of (1) Burkina Faso (2) Cabo Verde (3) Côte d’ Ivoire (4) Gabon (5) Gambia (6) Guinea (7) Guinea Bissau (8) Liberia (9) Mali (10) Niger (11) Sierra Leone (12) Togo - A photocopy of valid residence permit. - A photocopy of proof of residence ie. Driving License … 10. A CERTIFIED BANK BALANCE / RECENT BANK STATEMENT (UPDATED WITHIN 15 DAYS) SHOWING TRANSACTION WITH CURRENT BALANCE NO LESS THAN USD 1,000.- EQUIVALENT OR CFA 550,000.- 11. The Thai Immigration officers may request the traveler(s) to provide financial proof as means of living in Thailand IN CASH. For tourist visa/transit visa/visa on arrival - at least 10,000.- Baht/person or USD 350 and at least 20,000.- Baht/family or USD 700. For business visa – at least 20,000.- Baht/person or USD 700 and at least 40,000.- Baht/family or USD 1,400.- |
TOURIST VISA
Single Entry – Fee 22,000 CFA
- Requirements are as stated in general documents.
BUSINESS VISA
Single Entry – Fee 38,000 CFA (business trip, conference, seminar, workshop, training, internship)
In addition to general documents,
- An invitation letter from company/organization in Thailand stating purpose of visit
- A Letter of Employment from current employer stating applicant’s position, salary, length of employment and purpose of visit
- If sole trader, please provide a photocopy of local business registration certificate
- ***Applicants applying for group training in Thailand will need to submit their application at least 1 month in advance and notify their respective organizers in Thailand to contact the Consular Department.***
Multiple Entry – Fee 100,000 CFA
- Multiple entry visa for business will be at the embassy’s discretion upon reviewing the applicant’s documents in relations to sufficient proof of ongoing business activities.
EMPLOYMENT VISA
Single Entry only – Fee 38,000 CFA
In addition to general documents,
- A Letter of Acceptance from employer in Thailand stating applicant’s position, salary, and length of employment
- A photocopy of the applicant’s work contract
- A photocopy of concerned company/organization’s registration (list of shareholders, company profile, balance sheet statement of income tax) and business license in Thailand
EDUCATION VISA (Private school/Institute)
Single Entry only – Fee 38,000 CFA
In addition to general requirement,
- Approved letter from Office of the Private Education Commission
- An Acceptance Letter from school stating course duration
- A photocopy of course curriculum and school profile
- A photocopy of school license and a signed photocopy of Principal’s license
- ORIGINAL receipt of paid tuition
DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL VISIT (Valid only for Diplomatic Passport, UN passport)
In addition to general requirement,
- Letter of Employment stating applicant’s position and purpose of visit
- Official letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
