On 29 February 2020, the Royal Thai Embassy participated in the Festival of Taste Gala 2020, organised by Dakar Women’s Group at Le Ryad restaurant in Dakar. The Festival aims at promoting local and international cuisines and cultures from different countries in various regions. The Embassy of Malaysia, Embassy of Indonesia, the US Embassy and the African community in Senegal also took part in the event. The Thai Embassy showcased traditional Thai cuisine which is popular among Senegalese and foreigners in Senegal. The Thai dishes were Som Tum and Tom Yum Goong. The event was well attended by over 100 participants.
