Familiarization Trip for African businesses and media to visit Thailand, during 2 - 9 March 2024

On March 4, 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar led a business delegation from Senegal and The Gambia and a Senegalese media reporter from 2ATV to meet with representatives from SCG Packaging Company Limited (SCGP), one of the leading packaging company in Thailand. The delegation visited the packaging production factory and Inspired Solutions Studio at Thai Containers Group Co., Ltd., Navanakhon Plant in Pathum Thani Province to learn more about various types of paper and plastic packaging, as well as the eco-friendly production cycle. This includes recycling such products to reduce waste and maintain a sustainable environment. Packaging development is essential for elevating and adding value to the agricultural products, which is the main industry in Senegal and The Gambia, and will further advance other relevant industries, resulting in economic development for all parties.
