The Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar in cooperation with the Association of Muay Thai in Senegal will organize the event “Thai Boxing class: Training the Trainers” from 9-13 May 2022. This event is a series of training sessions led by Mr. Ahmed Cheikh Bara Mbacke, the Senegalese Muay Thai instructor.

The training session on 9 and 13 May 2022 will welcome the general public, and on 10-12 May 2022 will invite specifically the Muay Thai coaches. The Embassy hopes that the Muay Thai coaches could share these acquired skills to those interested in Muay Thai in their communities and regions across Senegal in the future.

The Association of Muay Thai in Senegal was recently established at the beginning of this year, which is in line with the increase in popularity of Muay Thai as a sport in Senegal. The Senegalese Muay Thai Association also hopes to promote Muay Thai to the wider Senegal audience and later at the global stage.
