On 23 June 2020 Mr. Nipon Petchpornprapas, Ambassador of Thailand, and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy presented personal protective equipment such as face masks and hand sanitizers as well as Thai rice to the Center of University Works of Dakar (COUD) of Chiekh Anta Diop Universirty, Dakar to support preparations for the partial reopening of the University this month and to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the community, especially in Dakar. In addition, this contribution is a symbol of friendship and strong relations between the two countries as this year marks the 40^th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Senegal. Chiekh Anta Diop Universirty, Dakar is one of the leading universities in Senegal with around 90,000 students from 39 countries.
