Familiarization Trip for African businesses and media to visit Thailand, during 2 - 9 March 2024

On 5 March 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar led the delegation of businesspeople and media from Senegal and The Gambia, on a visit to Thailand under the project of Familiarization Trip for African businesses and media to visit Thailand organized by the Embassy, to pay a courtesy call on Ms. Wanalee Lohpechra, Deputy Director-General of the Department of South Asian Affairs, Middle East and African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation was briefed on Thailand’s economic and social policy towards West African Region and the Ministry’s role in enhancing a comprehensive cooperation between both sides.

During Q&A session, the two sides exchanged information on West African market, as well as suggestions on ways to promote cooperation between each other. In addition, representatives from Senegalese private sector, Fabira Trading SARL and FS Consultant, gave an interview to a Saranrom Radio online program hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The interview elaborated the objectives of the project Bringing African businessmen and media to Thailand, organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar as well as the comments and feedback of the participants.
