Ambassador of Thailand presided over the 2nd Thailand – Côte d’Ivoire Business Matching Forum in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire

On July 3 2026, H.E. Miss Nipa Nirannoot, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Senegal, delivered the opening remarks at the 2nd Thailand – Côte d’Ivoire Business Matching Forum, organized by the Thai Trade Office in Abuja and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, at the Novotel Abidjan Plateau Hotel in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. The event was attended by Mr. Abou Kouabenan Julien, Director of Human Resources, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire, Ms. Kanokphan Pataraprinyasiri, Director of the Thai Trade Office in Abuja, Ms. Wanvisak Sutheerapoj, Senior Commercial Officer, Department of International Trade Promotion and over 100 representatives from both Thai and Ivorian private companies.

On this occasion, the Ambassador-designate addressed that this event builds upon the success of the first Thailand – Côte d’Ivoire Business Matching Forum in 2025. This year, there are top management of 22 leading Thai companies from various key sectors, like food, agriculture, industrial manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and tourism, participated in this forum. This event this year also marks a significant milestone of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Côte d’Ivoire.

Furthermore, the Ambassador-designate emphasized the productive development of relations between Thailand and Côte d’Ivoire, highlighted by frequent exchanges of important visits between the two countries in the recent years. In 2025, the official delegation from Côte d’Ivoire to Thailand led by the Foreign Minister and the President of the Côte d’Ivoire Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited Thailand. The visit of Thai trade mission to Côte d’Ivoire for the second consecutive year reflects the commitment of Thai government to strengthening economic ties between the two countries and demonstrate confidence in Côte d’Ivoire's growing economic potential.
