On July 2 2026, Ambassador Nipa Nirannoot, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Senegal, visited Keemala Spa in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire to greet and inquire about the living conditions of eight Thai massage therapists, who were legally employed and receiving good and appropriate care from their local employers.

On this occasion, the Ambassador praised the management of Keemala Spa for helping to elevate the image of Thai massage in Africa by offering high-quality Thai massage services that truly reflect Thainess. They also discussed and exchanged ideas on ways to further promote Thai spa and massage businesses in the African region, which would help create jobs and improve the livelihood of Thai massage therapists abroad.

In addition, the Royal Thai Embassy provided consular services to Thai nationals by handling new passports to 7 Thai Nationals including a Thai chef at a Thai restaurant in Abidjan.
