A visit to the Prosthesis Production Center and the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine
at the Military Hospital in Ouakam, Dakar.

On 21 May 2015, H.E. Mr. Wijak Chittarat, Ambassador of Thailand to Senegal, visited the Prosthesis Production Center and the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine at the Military Hospital in Ouakam, Dakar. Col. Makha KEITA, President, Col. Assan DIOP, Secretary-General of the Foundation for Disabled and Mutilated Military of Senegal and Col. Dr. Eric A.S. Wilson, Director of the Military Hospital in Ouakam accompanied H.E. the  Ambassador to visit the Prosthesis Production Center and the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine which have been financed by the Royal Thai Government through the Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA) together with the Prosthesis Foundation of H.R.H. The Princess Mother and the Foundation for Disabled and Mutilated Military of Senegal.

Since its establishment in 2011, more than 300 soldiers and civilians with disabilities have received services from the Center such as special equipment, specific medical arm, and including physical trauma. In this relation, to commemorate the 35^th anniversary of Thailand - Senegal diplomatic relations in 2015, both sides discussed on the progress of the project including the extension of cooperation on the prosthesis production equipment, supplies, and trainings for agents to enhance technical cooperation in public health and to further strengthening partnership in humanitarian assistance with Senegal.
